FRESH WATER TREATMENT

We ensure steady flow of clean, safe drinking water to our people. A typical water treatment plant is designed to meet standards water purity for drinking. It is designed to remove odour, colour, turbidity and contaminants.

MULTIGARDE SAND FILTER

A Multi Grade Filter consists of vertical or horizontal pressure sand filters that contain multiple layers of coarse and fine sand (pebbles and gravels) in a fixed proportion. It is a kind of a deep filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for retaining both large and small suspended solids and un-dissolved impurities like dust particles.

Advantages of Multigrade Sand Filter : 
• Higher specific flow rate than conventional down flow filters thereby saving on Space & cost.
• Very little maintenance required.
• Lower backwash water requirement.
• In most cases, raw water can be used for backwash.

PRESSURE SAND FILTER

These filters are the most popular method for removal of turbidity from water. The Pressure Sand Filter consists of a multiple layer of sand with a variety in size and specific gravity. the filtration across the bed is driven by pressure force. The pressure drop across a clean sand bed is usually very low. It builds as particulate solids are captured on the bed.

ULTRA FILTRATION

Ultra filtration (UF) is a variety of membrane filtration in which forces like pressure or concentration gradients lead to a separation of suspended solids and removable organic materials through a semi permeable membrane. This separation process is used for purifying macromolecular 103-106 Daltons.
Ultra Filtration treatment comes under the below situations.

REVERSE OSMOSIS

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification technology that uses a semi permeable membrane to remove larger particles from drinking water. It can remove many types of dissolved and suspended species from water, including bacteria, and is used in both industrial processes and the production of potable water.

DEMINERALIZATION PLANT

Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from water by using the ion exchange process. The following ions are widely found in raw water

Cation – Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium etc.
Anion – Chloride, Bicarbonate, Nitrate, Carbonate etc.

Standard plants are skid mounted with a plant capacity 5-15 m3/hr for small and medium size industries such as textile, pharmaceuticals & chemical etc. for generation of steam or process water.

The package comprises combination of various units depending upon the water quality requirement and may include:

  • Pressure sand Filter / Dual media filter / Activated carbon filter.
  • Upflow packed column cation/anion exchanger
  •  Chemical doser
